Cristiano Ronaldo Introduces Binance’s First NFT Collection

Cristiano Ronaldo’s first NFT collection will be released on Friday, November 18 as part of a multi-year agreement with Binance, the world’s largest blockchain ecosystem, and cryptocurrency infrastructure provider. The debut is accompanied by a global marketing effort starring Ronaldo, with the goal of introducing his fans to Web3 via the world of NFTs. “We believe the metaverse and blockchain are the internet’s future,” Binance Co-Founder and Chief Marketing Officer He Yi remarked. “We are thrilled to work with Cristiano to help more people understand blockchain and demonstrate how we are developing Web3 infrastructure for the sports and entertainment industries.”

“It was critical to me that we create something memorable and distinctive for my fans because they are such a crucial part of my career,” Ronaldo stated. “With Binance, I was able to create something that not only embodies the game’s passion but also rewards fans for their years of support.” The first Cristiano Ronaldo NFT collection will be released on November 18 (9 a.m. UTC) and will include seven animated statues with four rarity levels: Super Super Rare (SSR), Super Rare (SR), Rare (R), and Normal (R) (N). Each NFT statue shows Ronaldo in a memorable event in his life, from his career-defining bicycle kicks to his youth in Portugal.

The Binance NFT marketplace will auction off the 45 highest-valued CR7 NFTs (5 SSR and 40 SR). The auction will be available for 24 hours, with the highest bidder receiving NFTs. Bidding for SSR will begin at 10,000 BUSD and SR will begin at 1,700 BUSD. The remaining 6,600 NFTs (600 R and 6,000 N) will be available on Binance for 77 BUSD for the Normal rarity. Each rarity level will have its own set of exclusive benefits, such as, a personal greeting from Cristiano Ronaldo autographed CR7 and Binance products along with priority access to future CR7 NFT drops. It will also contain free CR7 Mystery Boxes which are participation in giveaways with signed products and prizes.

Additionally, new customers will get a Cristiano Ronaldo Mystery Box when they join with Binance.com (and finish KYC). Limited-edition Ronaldo NFTs might be found in these boxes. For the first 1.5M new Binance users who register with referral ID RONALDO, there are CR7 Mystery Boxes available. Users in the US who make deposits on the site throughout the offer period will receive a free memento NFT from Binance.US, Binance.com’s US partner. Users that acquire the souvenir NFT will have access to the whitelist to buy CR7 NFTs in the future. New and current US customers must register here in order to take part in the promotion.
